This Hospital Bed Handler from Danish manufacturer Logitrans, transports lifts and tilts hospital beds and trolleys, allowing easy access to bed components for maintenance and cleaning purposes. It prevents staff injuries associated with heavy manual handling and repeated bending and stretching.

With so many different bed and trolley models in circulation, it is not possible to guarantee that this lifter can handle all types. However the bed hoist is designed for the maximum possible flexibility: it has an adjustable fork span to accommodate different bed and trolley sizes. The forks are fitted with clamps to securely hold the bed in position, as it is lifted and turned. The back rest height can be adjusted to suit the bed being handled. This Handler is particular useful in hospital Engineering and Estates departments, where different models of beds and trolleys need to be lifted and turned to access components (eg worn castors) on the underside. Unlike a lift table, the tilting function of the Bed Handler allows the maintenance engineer full access to the components when replacing them. It can also assist Domestic Services and Decontamination staff to clean areas of the bed that are otherwise difficult to reach. When the hospital bed is tilted, the visibility and accessibility of all bed components is excellent.
